Stop Paying A Debt You Never Owed
A Human Design Story On The Heart Centre
There is a chamber inside your body where promises are made, often in a currency your body cannot afford to spend.
In the world of Human Design, we call this the Heart Centre, also known as the Ego Centre, but in the mythic world of Henrietta, we call it the Chamber of Promises.
In this 18-minute audio dialogue, we look at the visceral mechanics of self-worth, commitment, proving, and willpower. We move beyond academic definitions to meet the Oath-Maker, the inner figure who carries a ledger in one hand and a blade in the other, constantly asking:
“What must I prove so I can finally be valued?”
This audio explores:
The Story of Henrietta:
Follow the journey of a quiet child from a village of red earth and morning smoke, shaped by tribal expectation, who begins to trade her health for belonging.
The Somatic Signal:
In Human Design, the stomach is one of the organs associated with the Heart/Ego Centre. This dialogue looks at the “Burning” behind the breastbone, gastric reflux. Then the heart palpitations act as a rhythmic rebellion when the body is running on "borrowed fire". This is not a medical diagnosis, but a somatic point of observation.
The Undefined Heart (Ego) Trap:
For the undefined Heart Centre, the pressure to prove can become a life of unpaid debt: trying to be woman enough, man enough, successful enough, beautiful enough, loyal enough, capable enough, or valuable enough.
Social Courtroom:
See how this distortion plays out in the real world, from the "Alpha" male mask to the entrepreneur chasing wealth as "evidence" of worth, to the overworking professional and the person who keeps submitting proof while quietly losing contact with life.
This dialogue uses the mythic storytelling to convey a precise Human Design teaching: the Heart/Ego Centre is not the enemy. The distortion begins when worth must be proven before life can be lived.
Henrietta eventually found something more valuable than the village’s approval: she discovered that her "heartburn" wasn't a defect, but a steady compass. She found the right to stop using her body as evidence. It is time for you to do the same.
Listen to the full 18-minute dialogue and step out of the courtroom.
